Cost of living Cebu city 2012

If you are tired, retired, you got a pension or you are just looking for something else then Cebu is a perfect place to start a new life. Now I’m living here for a while I can give you some information about the cost of living in Cebu city.
Transportation:
– Taxi’s, the starting fee is 40 pesos. For every 500 meter or 1 minute waiting you will pay 3.50 pesos.
– Jeeps or Jeepney’s. Minimum fare is 7,50 PHP, so short rides are always 7,50 PHP. Rides from Cebu city to Mactan for example cost around 16 pesos.
– 1 liter unleaded premium goes for about 48 pesos
Food:
– Spaghetti at Jollibee, 49 pesos
– Tapsilog at a local establishment will cost you around 55 pesos
– Shanghai springroll 5 to 6 pesos each
– Cooked rice in a plasticbag goes for 7 to 10 PHP
– Pizza from Alberto’s, small 84, 11 inch for 110
Drinks
– Coke in a small bottle, 10 to 12 PHP
– Water 500ml for 15 pesos
– San Michuel pilsener at a local bar, between 25 and 35 pesos
– 1 gallon water in dispenser bottle 30 pesos
Laundry
– 20 pesos a kilo for clothes, 30 pesos a kilo for bed linnen
